We offer a large range of services for school aged children in our community which encompasses five counties.
NEW LIFE LEARNING CENTER is our Special Education program for children 6-12 years old. This program is a private day school licensed by the State Department of Special Education. We have been in operation since 2006
School age students Kindergarten to Twelfth grade can enjoy small classes of ten students or fewer. Our fully accredited school has been operating since 1985 and will be celebrating its 25th birthday in the next two years
NLCA has a 2,500 volume library, a computer lab, two playgrounds, a gymnasium, a ball field and a cafeteria/assembly hall. Chapel is held weekly and chapel dress is required. Teacher to student ratio is 1:10 and student retention rate is 85-90%.
The curriculum used is world-renown ABeka supplemented by other texts as needed. Spanish I,II,III classes are taught as well as advanced math, science and English.(dual enrolled for college credit.) Classes are also offered in speech, fine arts, and sign language. The school follows all requirements for State of Virginia. (except SOL testing).
ALUMNI: In the last 4 graduating classes, college entrance rate is 94% with students accepted at Longwood University, VCU, University of Virginia, Hampden-Sydney, Hocking College, Light University, Southside Virginia Community College, John Tyler, International University in Holland and United Theological Seminary in Belgium. New Life Christian Academy hosts Exchange students.
Tuition rates $4500 includes registration, book fees, tuition for grades K-12.
